Deep volume profile indicator – Trade with delta profile to spot the sentiment of the market

A normal Volume Profile is “blind.” It shows you where the car went, but it doesn’t show you who was driving.

• Deep Volume Profile Indicator: Calculates the Net Delta (Green/Purple nodes) at every price bin. You see the real-time sentiment of the participants, allowing you to stop trading blindly and start reading the “intent” of the market.

2. Decoding the Delta Profile: Liquidity & Absorption

The Delta nodes (the colored bars extending further right) tell the story of Resting Liquidity. In our strategy, large clusters represent a “Wall” built by professional traders.

The Seller’s Wall (Bearish Clusters): When massive Purple Delta nodes gather at a specific level, it indicates aggressive sellers met a “brick wall” of resting limit orders. If price returns to this zone from below, expect a strong rejection and a sharp fall as dominant sellers defend their territory.

For example, as shown in the chart above, a massive cluster of Bearish Delta nodes has gathered around the POC (Point of Control). When price interacts with this level, we anticipate a sharp reversal. This cluster confirms that aggressive sellers have established a ‘Liquidity Wall,’ dominating the market and likely absorbing any remaining buy interest at this key high-volume area. So by using a deep delta profile, you can scan every participant in the market. 

The Buyer’s Floor (Bullish Clusters): A cluster of Green Delta at a low level signals that aggressive selling was absorbed by “Passive Buyers.” This creates a springboard effect; when price dips into this zone, expect a sharp, aggressive bounce.

3. Identifying High-Reaction Levels

Expect the most significant price volatility and “rejections” at these three structural points:

• High Volume Nodes (HVN): These act as price magnets. The market will often “stick” here or retest these levels repeatedly because of the high liquidity.
• Low Volume Nodes (LVN): These are “liquidity gaps.” Price typically “zips” through these areas quickly because there is no historical support or resistance to slow the auction down.
• Value Area Edges (VAH/VAL): The VAH/VAL represents the boundaries of “fair value.” When price hits these edges, it is considered “expensive” or “cheap” relative to the current range, often leading to a mean-reversion move back to the POC (Point of Control).

4. Strategic Execution & ICT Confluence

The Trap (Short Squeeze): If you see a “Top 10 Outlier” Bearish Delta node, but the price breaks and closes above it, those sellers are now trapped. Their stop losses (buy orders) will fuel an explosive move upward.

Order Block Validation: Don’t just trade every Order Block. Wait for price to enter a Bullish Order Block and look for Bullish Delta Clusters to form. This is your confirmation that the “Big Fish” are actually stepping in to defend that level.
